Barking Mad FarmBarking Mad Farm Bed & Breakfast is very small, friendly, peaceful and geared to making your stay perfect and unique. Each large, comfortable bedroom has some of the most amazing views in the country, a private bathroom, and beds with deep, fluffy comforters for a perfect night’s sleep.

Treetops Suite - One of the most beautiful suites with the most spectacular views anywhere! The luxurious Treetops Suite is your private, and very romantic, retreat — entered through a hatch reminiscent of that on a barge on the Seine. Close it behind you and understand why we say “Disappear For A While” so often! Your large private deck is nestled against an ancient yew tree embracing the best views of the Eagle Caps and Wallowas and where you can literally watch the buffalo and their babies roam and play or watch the eagles soar. Your stunning suite offers over 500 cozy square feet of luxury ...claw foot tub, twin sinks, California King bed, brick fireplace and soft carpeting and a flat panel TV. Snuggle in your fluffy monogrammed robe and sip your freshly ground coffee and watch the dawn come up over the Moraine above Joseph ...or the incomparable sunsets over Alder Slope.. Seven Devils Suite is a romantic 600-square foot  space, recently completed and separate from the main house. With a charming Western theme, a private staircase (14 steps), dining area, flat screen satellite television and the incredible views down the valley, this very intimate retreat provides a total escape from the world. The Buffalo Suite is a gorgeous 2 room suite with tiled period bathroom with bath and shower. The ‘bonus’ room has an antique brass bed and hardwood floors and can be used to spread out, for an extra guest or just to enjoy. Just steps from the main deck and gardens with views of the mountains and often the buffalo next door, this is a cozy, intimate place to relax and escape. Photos of the Buffalo Suite.

Winter is a special time in Wallowa County…cross country skis, snowmobiles, even a downhill ski area and competitive dog sled racing.

This is a great area for biking, horse driving, snow shoeing, hiking, rafting or doing nothing at all!
